As Registered Social Workers, we strictly adhere to the Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice regarding by the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. We respect the privacy of clients by holding in strict confidence all information about clients and by complying with any applicable privacy and other legislation. Confidentiality is an essential element in therapy, creating a safe and supportive space for our clients to explore their challenges. Clinical record of client is strictly confidential and will never be released to any third party without the client's written consent.

5. Usage data

Usage data means data generated in connection with your access, use and configuration of the website and data derived from it. includes information of your device's internet protocol address (i.e. IP address), browser version, browser type, and the pages of our service that you visit, the time you visit, device identifiers and other diagnostic data.

6. Site usage rules

Lifeinspirationpsy.ca has established certain rules that you must adhere to while using the website. By using the site, you agree not to engage in any of the following activities:
  • The name of Life Inspiration Psychotherapy is effective registered in Ontario. All lifeinspirationpsy.ca content, materials, arrangement, and the overall design of the site are copyrighted by us and are protected by Canadian and international laws. Use of our overall content without prior written permission is strictly prohibited. 
  • Threaten others of the site in any manner
  • ​Use language that is hateful, discriminatory, abusive, harassing, or obscene towards others
  • Post anything that infringes on the copyright, trademark, privacy, or other proprietary rights of any third party
  • Distribute viruses or disrupt the security of the site, other harmful, disruptive, or destructive files through the site
  • Use the site for sending spam, junk mail, and unauthorized letters
  • Our service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by us. If you click on a third party link, you may be directed to that third party's site. Please review the privacy policy of every site you visit. We have no right or responsibility for the content and privacy policies of any third party sites.
  • This website is operated within Canada. If you choose to access with this site, you consent to be subject to all relevant federal laws of Canada, in conjunction with the statutes of the Province of Ontario. Furthermore, you commit to adhering to all pertinent provincial, federal, and international statues and regulations, encompassing, though not restricted to those pertaining to privacy, data transmission, data acquisition, software utilization, and the formulation and dispatch of electronic mail. Additionally, you acknowledge your responsibility for your conduct concerning the website and any communications transmitted through your account.

7. Limitations of liability

No circumstances are including:
  • Not restricted to acts of negligence, any direct/indirect consequential damages/loss that may not be suffered by a user through the use of the lifeinspirationpsy.ca website including loss of data or information or any kind of financial or physical loss or damage.
  • We shall not be responsible for any loss of data, property, and stock while using our service.Psychotherapy, nor its owner, directors or employees, be accountable for any indirect, incidental, special costs, including no limitation, loss of proceeds, or other intangible losses from (i) your use or access of the inability to this website; (ii) any conduct or content of any third party on the service; (iii) unauthorized access to any content or service, or alteration of your transmission or data; and (iv) loss of profits, data, whether or not we've been aware of the possibility of such damage.

8. Children's privacy

Our service can be involve client under the age of 12, but we do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 12 without parent/guardian's consent. If you are aware that your child (who is under the age of 12) has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we aware that we have collected personal data from anyone under age 12 without verification of parent/guardian's consent, we remove that information from our servers.
 
Regarding to the Child and Family services Act, they allowed for a child aged 12 or older have the legal right to private and confidential counselling. This can make them feel more comfortable in sharing their thoughts. We also review and assess the capable condition, and encourage the involvement of parents/guardians whenever possible. 

There are some situations in which we are legally obliged to break confidentially. Disclosure of confidential information may be necessary to prevent serious, foreseeable, and imminent harm to a client or others in order to protect the safety of a client or another. If possible, we will contact you before releasing any information. 

These are including:

  • Risk of harm to self or another person

  • Suspected child abuse or neglect for a minor under the age of 16 (We are legally responsible to report to Children's Aid Society under the Child and Family Service Act)

  • Court of law requires clinical records regarding an incident

9. Termination

The services will be provided to you can be cancelled or terminated by us. Such termination may occur at any time, with or without cause, upon written notice. Please note that we will have no liability to you or any third party because of the termination. Additionally, the termination of these terms will also result in the termination of all your service subscriptions.

Effect of termination:
Upon the termination of these terms, whether for any reasons, or upon the cancellation or expiration of your services as below:
a) We will terminate the provision of services
b) You will not be entitled for any refunds or otherwise, regarding usage fees or any other fees.
c) Any outstanding fee you owe to us will be immediately due and payable in full.
d) We will delete you archived data within 30 days. 

In our sole discretion, we reserve the right to change, modify, or terminate the site, and you understand that there is no guarantee that the site or any of its features of it will continue accessible or available for a particular period of time.
