Our Registered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) and Registered Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) provide clients with evidence-based speech-language pathology and communication coaching services. Our speech therapy helps children, teens, and adults articulate their thoughts, refine their vocal presence, and express themselves with clarity and ease. Whether you are navigating professional environments, academic settings, or everyday social interactions, our personalized speech therapy provides the practical tools and guidance you need to feel fully heard and understood. Our practice brings together a diverse range of expertise in speech, social skills, voice, and communication care.

CHILD & YOUTH
Experience assessing and treating children and adolescents with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), receptive and expressive language difficulties, speech sound disorders, childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), fluency disorders, social communication needs, ASD, and developmental delays. Experienced in individualized play-based and structured intervention, AAC support, and parent/caregiver coaching.
ADULT
Experience supporting adults with speech sound disorders, fluency disorders, aphasia, apraxia of speech, dysarthria, cognitive-communication difficulties, and dysphagia, with a focus on functional communication and swallowing needs in everyday environments.

Insurance Coverage
No doctor's referral is necessary. Speech therapy provided by a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) are not covered under OHIP but are covered by many extended health benefit plans or Ontario Autism Program (OAP) Services. You may be eligible for health insurance reimbursement if your insurance plan/OAP covers speech therapy with a Registered SLP or SLPA (with Master Level). Please contact your benefit providers cover speech therapy if you are eligible for reimbursement.
Payment
To ensure a consistent and dedicated care experience, please add and save your credit or debit card information in your Jane account prior to your appointment. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, UnionPay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay (no administrative fee). We are also welcome for e-transfer to karenlifetherapy@gmail.com
Payments are processed automatically 24 hours prior to your scheduled session.
If payment cannot be completed successfully by that time, your appointment will be automatically canceled. An official receipt including your therapist's registration number will be emailed to you upon the completion of your session for your records or insurance claims. We deeply appreciate your co-operation in securing your session in advance.
Session Timing and Scheduling
There may be occasions where minor delays occur between scheduled sessions. In such cases, the therapist and client will mutually discuss and verbally agree on how any lost time will be addressed, including options such as extending a session or adjusting future scheduling where appropriate. Any agreed adjustments will be documented in the client’s clinical record.
Attendance & Cancellation Policy
As session times are reserved specifically for you, speech therapy services are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, please email or call our admin team or your therapist at least 24 hours before your appointment so we can reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, arriving more than 15 minutes late, or no-shows will be charged the full session fee. We encourage clients to review our terms and policies carefully before booking, and we are always happy to answer any questions you may have in advance.
Comprehensive Reports
Reports (e.g., assessment, discharge, summary, treatment plan etc.) are available upon request. The cost will vary depending on the type and purpose of report requested. A minimum fee of $240 (equivalent to one hour) applies. Administrative fees may be applied to requests for copies of files, preparation, and translation or other information pertaining to a file.
