Insurance Coverage

No doctor's referral is necessary. Counselling and psychotherapy provided by a registered Social worker/registered psychotherapist are not covered under OHIP but are covered by many extended health benefit plans. Majority of private, company, and student health insurance are covered. Please contact your benefit providers cover psychotherapy, social work and marriage and family therapy to inquire if you are eligible for reimbursement. All our therapists are registered professionals. 

Receipt with the therapist’s registration number will be provided within the week of your appointment.

Payment

To help us offer consistent and dedicated care, payment is kindly requested 48 hours prior to your session via e-transfer to karenlifetherapy@gmail.com. A receipt with our registration number will be provided within one week of receiving payment. We appreciate your support in completing payment before your appointment, as this helps us reserve and prepare your session time for you. 

 

Cancellation Policy:

As session times are reserved specifically for you, psychotherapy services are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, please email or call our admin team or your therapist at least 24 hours before your appointment so we can reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, arriving more than 15 minutes late, or no-shows will be charged the full session fee. We encourage clients to review our terms and policies carefully before booking, and we are always happy to answer any questions you may have in advance.

Credit Card Payment (In-Person Appointments Only)
For in-person sessions, credit card payments via tap are available. Please note that a 2.6% processing fee is applied by our payment terminal. A $250 deposit is required in advance to secure your booking and will be applied toward your session fee.

Reports

Reports (e.g., assessment, discharge, summary, treatment plan etc.) are available upon request. The cost will vary depending on the type and purpose of report requested. A minimum fee of $240 (equivalent to one hour) applies. Administrative fees may be applied to requests for copies of files, preparation, and translation or other information pertaining to a file. ​
